Welp, I just celebrated my very first Mother's Day! What a weekend it was.
Things have been SUPA-HECTIC (That's how we say it up here in 'Chusetts) lately with me and Josh both working, a baby to tend to, and the dreaded final exams. Josh had a LOT on his plate. But before exams were over, he marked May 11th down in the calendar. It ended up being a sweet surprise.
May 10th comes around the corner and Josh is trying not to tell me what he had up his sleeve. We have a tendency of planning surprises and then spoiling it before it's time. Let the 20 questions begin!
"Can Abigail come?" -yes
"Have we done this before?" -no
"Is it far from here?" -we need to get the oil changed first (that's a yes)
"Could we do this in FL?" -no
"Do I need a jacket?" -sure
....anddddddd so on.
He gave me a few more hints and it totally threw me for a loop. The anticipation was sorta fun! Makes me wanna keep a surprised planned for once without ruining it....
As we got closer, Josh made me look down. Actually I made myself because I wanted to be totally surprised when we got there, that way I didn't have that "fake surprised face." Those faces are no fun.

Way to ruin the picture, Abigail. Abi-fail. I'll be showing this to your husband one day. |
What a weekend. We finished it off by going to church and our friend Krista had a photobooth for all the mommy's. :)
It was so nice to just get away from work and school and be together as a family. I really cherish what God has given me. A beautiful, quirky 6 month old girl and a handsome, thoughtful, very strange manboy husband. It was my most favorite weekend thus far!
